About Holly

Hi, I'm Holly! I graduated from UCSB last year with a degree in Financial Math & Statistics. Like most college grads, I am currently in the phase of life where I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do, haha. I realized that I miss math a lot, and since I have a passion for helping others, math tutoring came to mind :)

I have experience tutoring students in math subjects ranging from algebra through college level calculus. Since graduating, I have tutored mostly highschool and college students. I have also been working with tutoring foster youth.

While in college, I tutored students in math as a side job. I also worked as a TA for an afterschool club at a local elementary school in Santa Barbara. Back in high school, I did some math tutoring and often found myself helping my friends with their math homework and studying for tests.

About the lesson

I love math, sometimes hate it in the moment, but the best feeling is finally figuring out the answer to a challenging problem. At times, it may feel impossible to learn a concept, but eventually it will make sense!

Each session can be however would help you most. If that’s working through math problems for homework, studying for upcoming tests, or just explaining how the numbers and calculations connect to the real world.
