About Jason
My name is Jason, I have been playing the violin for 15 years now, and I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music at the University of California, Los Angeles, where I study violin with professors Movses Pogossian and Ji Young An. As a member of the UCLA Philharmonia Orchestra, I continue to develop my craft and deepen my passion for music. My early achievements as the concertmaster of the Glendale Youth Orchestra set the stage for my future, and I have since earned top honors in prestigious competitions, including the Great Composers Competition, the US New Star International Strings Competition, the Tiziano Rossetti International Music Competition, the Beethoven Young Musician International Competition, and the New York International Classical Music Competition.

My teaching method varies person to person so that every person who studies under me can improve. My typical lesson plan is as follows for beginners and up:
1. Teaching how to hold and play the violin correctly (for people who don't play the violin)
2. Left-hand and right-hand bow hand starting techniques (for people who already know how to hold the violin).
3. How to use vibrato for the first time and polishing left-hand techniques for pitch to hit the notes correctly.
4. Playing scales and basic exercises to polish techniques
5. In order to become better, the student must also have experience in playing full pieces: Baroque (Bach, Vivaldi), Romantic (Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, etc.), and more. But first, we will start with Vivaldi's pieces for beginners.
