About Jaahnvi

Hi, I’m Jaahnvi, and I want to be that person who helps you become more confident in English—just like the people who helped me along my own journey.

I wasn’t always confident with English. There was a time when I struggled with the language, whether it was speaking, writing, or even understanding complex texts. But I had the right people around me—teachers, mentors, and peers—who patiently guided and supported me, and over time, I gained the confidence to not just understand English, but to excel at it.

Fast forward to now, and excelling English has opened so many doors for me. I’ve gone from struggling with communication, to hosting large-scale school events, interacting fluently with industry professionals, and publishing my own book to writing articles and contributing to magazines. It’s been an incredible transformation, and it’s something I want to help you experience too.

I understand that English can be challenging, and that’s why I’m here—to support you in the same way I was supported. I want to create a space where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and growing at your own pace. My goal isn’t just to teach English, but to help you feel confident and empowered to use it in any situation. I’ll be there to guide you through the struggles, celebrate your progress, and help you reach the level of fluency you’re aiming for.

About the lesson

Have you ever felt stuck when trying to express yourself in English? Maybe you understand the words but struggle to form sentences naturally, or you hesitate because you're afraid of making mistakes. I believe that learning a language should feel engaging, practical, and confidence-boosting.

My teaching approach is student-centered and interactive—I tailor lessons to your learning style, goals, and interests. Through conversations, real-life scenarios, debates, and structured practice, I help students build fluency, improve pronunciation, and develop strong grammar skills without the pressure of memorization. I also incorporate essay writing, creative writing, and structured exercises to strengthen different writing styles. Typically, each session lasts 1 hour, but I am open to adjustments based on student needs.

I am an International Baccalaureate (IB) graduate with a background in English Language and Literature. I have written for school newsletters and magazines, contributed articles as part of a marketing internship, and published a book of poems. Additionally, I have experience tutoring students through my school's Skill Building Program, helping them enhance their writing and language proficiency.

My lessons are open to students from 8th to 12th grade, whether you need help with academic writing, conversational English, or overall confidence in the language. If you think I’d be a good fit as your tutor, I’d love to help you improve and enjoy the learning process!
