About Alberto
University researcher at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Sciences of the University of Insubria, I offer private lessons and tutoring for young people and adults and assistance for the preparation of theses and term papers at any level (including doctorate) in Italian, English and French.
I have taught Plant Physiology, Bioenergetics and currently History and Philosophy of Biology. In fact, I firmly believe in the unity of culture and I fight for the overcoming of disciplinary boundaries.
For several years I have been holding workshops on the history, structure and construction of the scientific article and on the methodology of research, in particular of the Degree Thesis. I followed dozens of students in their daily progress in their Thesis work.
In my research, in Italy and abroad, I have dealt with many areas of biology. I am currently specializing in the History of Sciences completing a Master's degree at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne on scientific publications of the revolutionary and Napoleonic era. I also deal with the history of biology in the 1970s, the role of chance in biology and the controversies surrounding the origin of cancer.
The double experience of teacher and student that I have been living in the last years has allowed me to understand even better who is on the other side of the chair. This has strengthened my conviction to aim at understanding the specific needs of the student, in order to build together with her / him the most suitable learning path to best achieve the goal set.
