About Cornilus

I got the highest grades in core mathematics, extended mathematics and additional mathematics, studied mathematics in university for 1.5 years and obtained the highest possible GPA... currently studying to be an Actuary, at the University of Cape Town. I also had a lot of tutoring experience in that time.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to first get to understand my student's curriculum, strengths and weaknesses first... then try to work a plausible set of working strategies to counter all factors working against them, work with them closely trying to understand the way they think through math problems which would probably give me a better chance at helping to ease their difficulties... also looking at their teachers' approaches to problems or they way they initially grasped a concept and try and assess if it needs building on a bit more or a "clear to neutral" is needed where I have a better, simpler, clearer and more systematic approach to the concept

I have known Cornilus for three years and before that I always heard about his Maths capabilities from people who knew him. We got closer and the first year because it was easy to approach him and ask for help. He’s that guy who is always explaining some maths question somewhere in a lecture room so we got used to asking for help from him. Sometimes you don’t get what the lecture says in and you need a peer to explain the concept to you. He was that peer all the time. He’s the person to go to if you need maths help and you’re struggling with some concepts. Trust me, you’ll never go wrong with him.
