I am an avid Maths student starting my first year to do Maths at Lancaster University. I have been a private tutor for over a year now and one of my students have gone up from a 6b to 7b in the space of 6 months.

My main teaching method is practice, practice, practice. I also understand that some people don't have a natural knack for Maths and I am very patient and will guide them towards the right answer - asking them to justify why they think an answer is correct or not.
I will also teach them exam technique and set them end of topic tests to make sure they understand and to consolidate their learning, online I will give them one question at a time and watch them work through the answer themselves.
