About Michael

Starting tutoring at 17, when I was helping a friend with homework and hired by their mum to help out the younger sister, I have always been passionate about teaching and helping students achieve their full potential, and getting paid for it doesn't hurt.
Passionate about chess, gardening and learning.

About the lesson

With 6 years of active tutoring experience within the subjects of Further Mathematics, Math Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Chess, Soccer, and Swimming, I have learned that the most important factor is to keep whomever I teach engaged and entertained. I have tutored people of every skill level and age group, from grade 1 - 12.

For my my students with an average grade below 70%, I averaged an increase in grades of 15% over my last 3 years of tutoring.

For children and young people struggling to engage with new concepts in their curriculum, being threatened to be kept back a second time, to those who skipped key parts of their education and need help learning the basics, I pride myself in my ability to keep them focused and engaged with their learning.
