Teaching is a passion; the process of talking with students, exchanging ideas, inspiring them to discover something new, and guiding them fulfill their own visions, is one of the reasons I enjoy the process of teaching. As a creative individual, one of the ways I help myself sustain the energy for teaching, is that I am always looking for new and innovative ways to keep the learning environment exciting, meaningful, engaging, and fun, not only for the students, but also for myself.
My guidance comes from careful thought, patience, support, and critical questioning, as well as, an understanding that each student comes with different strengths and weaknesses. I nurture and challenge my students to embark on serious, thoughtful, and meaningful creative research, and push them to explore and to look into undiscovered places, and then through thoughtful questioning, we collectively look into the unexplored, and find ways see more clearly.
My lessons are for students at any level, be they beginners, or seasoned creatives.
