About Saloni

I have 4 years of experience of tutoring both privately and from a well known institution - Marquis Education at Bella Vista. I have tutored mostly English classes ranging from years 10-12 (both Advanced and Standard classes) over zoom and in person, teaching up to seven classes in one week. I have additionally taught Extension English students, assisting them with their school work and projects.

I have studied Advanced English and attained a Band 6 result and am confident in sharing my tips and motivating students to achieve their best as well.

About the lesson

My class structure will involve completing practice exams under timed conditions, giving real-time detailed feedback and going over new techniques and textual analysis. I also focus on school assignments and give detailed feedback for essays and creatives to help students achieve great results. I like to revolve my classes around the prescribed text of a student, empowering them to discern their text with a new and authentic perspective. What I teach will depend on what the student is learning at school at the moment and would prefer them to get a head start.

Depending on the student’s needs the class can range from 1-2 hours and this can be negotiated after discussing the student’s current grades and particular learning goals.

I can immensely assist by distinguishing a student’s weaknesses and strengths to drastically improve their HSC examination techniques, skills and overall results. I am also very enthusiastic and driven to improve academically and will gladly help my students with any problems! I have endless amounts of resources ranging from exam papers to my personal essays and creatives which I will happily share.
