About Kendall

Capturing Life's Magic: Your Photography Guide

I'm Kendall, a passionate photographer with over 10 years of experience capturing the beauty of the world around us. Growing up in Kailua, Hawaii, instilled a deep love for the ocean in me, and this passion translates into my specialty – surf, ocean, and underwater photography.

My journey hasn't been limited to the waves though. I've honed my skills across various genres, capturing countless weddings, heartwarming portraits (grad photos, headshots, family portraits), and more. My work has even been featured in the Santa Barbara Independent and showcased at Downtown's First Thursday Artwalk exhibitions.

But photography goes beyond technical expertise for me. As an avid surfer, swimmer, and multifaceted athlete, I understand the importance of capturing the essence of movement and emotion. Beyond my own growth, I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and fostering creativity in others.

Whether you're a beginner eager to learn the basics or a seasoned photographer seeking to refine your craft, I'm here to guide you. Let's explore the magic of photography together – after all, there's a dog lover and fellow adventurer waiting to meet you!

About the lesson

Ignite Your Photography Passion: Lessons Tailored to You
My Approach:

I believe everyone has the potential to capture captivating photos. My lessons are designed to unlock your creative vision by combining clear instruction with hands-on practice. We'll explore the technical aspects of photography (composition, lighting, exposure) and the art of storytelling through your lens.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Discuss your goals & interests: We'll chat about the areas you want to improve and the type of photography that excites you (surf, landscapes, portraits, digital editing, etc.).
Tailored Learning: I'll create a personalized lesson plan with clear steps and actionable exercises based on your needs.
Interactive Learning: Expect a mix of demonstrations, hands-on practice, and constructive feedback to help you master new skills.
What Sets Me Apart:

Professional Expertise: As an award-winning professional photographer with a background in Visual Art from UC San Diego, I bring real-world experience and a deep understanding of photographic principles.
Personalized Learning: Your goals are my priority. I customize each lesson to fit your skill level and learning style.
Passionate Instructor: Photography is a powerful tool for self-expression and exploration. My enthusiasm will ignite your passion for capturing stunning images.
Who Should Take My Lessons:

My lessons are perfect for anyone who wants to elevate their photography skills, regardless of experience level. Whether you're a beginner eager to learn the basics, an enthusiast seeking to refine your technique, or a hobbyist with a specific creative vision, I'm here to guide you.

Ready to unleash your inner photographer? Let's create something unique together!
