As a former student of Mike, I had always admired and valued his approach, the way of explaining and mentoring. His suggestions and advice were often appreciated as he had the knowledge, experience and skills to deliver it. He was always willing to share, to share the technical components of the practice.

I had then progressed to work alongside like as an assistant. Mike again, had the exact same approach to working. He is unwavering in that. And despite his wealth of experience, he was always humble, and he strives to create a safe working relationship and conditions, where he would be receptive towards ideas or suggestions from his assistants.

Despite all that, I consider Mike to be a good friend due to his personal values, his professional values and his all round character.
