About Helena
With 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, I guide jazz and blues singers in vocal improvisation. I specialise in scat singing, melodic ornamentation, and advanced harmony. Lessons balance ear training, scale and chord theory, and developing a unique improvisational voice. I focus on building technical skill, expression, and musical understanding simultaneously. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s level and goals. Improvisation is taught creatively and systematically, making it accessible and enjoyable. Students develop confidence, musicality, and expressive freedom. I emphasise phrasing, stylistic authenticity, and performance skills. Lessons are interactive, structured, and inspiring. I encourage exploration and experimentation within a strong technical foundation. Each session strengthens both skill and artistic identity. My goal is to cultivate confident, versatile singers capable of improvising naturally.

My singing lessons emphasise breath control, diaphragmatic support, and stamina building. I provide exercises to help students sing longer without strain. Lessons also focus on tone, phrasing, and musical expressiveness. I guide singers step by step, helping them develop control and confidence. Each session includes practical drills for endurance, flexibility, and breath management. Students improve both technique and expressive ability. Lessons are structured, interactive, and designed for measurable progress. I encourage consistent practice and mindful singing. Every singer learns to combine technical skill with artistic freedom. My goal is to help learners perform with strength, clarity, and resilience.
