About Patrick
I am a current high school assistant principal, former English and social studies teacher, and education leader with more than a decade of experience helping students succeed across a wide range of academic settings. I hold graduate degrees in Education and History and am certified in multiple disciplines.
Throughout my career, I have designed curriculum, led college-readiness and assessment initiatives, coached teachers, and worked directly with students at every level—from those building foundational skills to those pursuing the most demanding academic pathways. I have presented at College Board conferences on college readiness and have extensive experience helping students and families navigate the transition from high school to higher education.
I bring the perspective of a teacher, school leader, and lifelong writer to tutoring. Whether a student needs help strengthening reading and writing, navigating the college application process, understanding history and social studies, preparing for an exam, organizing a major assignment, developing study habits, or navigating AI tools responsibly, I provide clear feedback, practical strategies, and individualized support that builds real confidence.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s specific goals, course expectations, and current skill level. Sessions can focus on strengthening reading comprehension, analytical writing, organization, test-taking strategies, productive use of AI tools, or a particular assignment.
For SAT/ACT reading and writing, AP/AICE coursework, college essays, and more, I help students understand not only what strong work looks like, but how to produce it consistently. I use clear feedback, guided practice, and practical strategies students can apply independently.
My lessons are best for middle- and high-school students who want stronger writing, higher-level reading skills, more confidence in advanced coursework, or support preparing for major academic milestones.
