About Jasmine

I’ve been a veterinarian for 8 years and love to encourage students to achieve their goals.
I have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne.

I tutored small group maths during my undergraduate studies and greatly enjoyed it. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students’ faces light up when a concept they’ve been struggling with finally “clicks”.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading and travelling. I’ve worked as a veterinarian in both Australia and the UK, and helped a range of students from different countries and backgrounds.

About the lesson

Lessons for early learners, primary and secondary school including VCE General Maths (not currently offering VCE Methods or Specialist Maths)

Lessons are typically one hour but can be reduced to 30-45 minutes for younger learners. (Please note that a minimum of 1 hour is charged for a lesson). We begin by looking at the student’s current strengths and building from there, ensuring confidence is built.

During the first lesson, I ask the student (or the parents depending on age) detailed questions to establish what areas they feel they would like to improve in. We then establish goals and a plan for how to achieve these. It can be very helpful to have small, achievable goals for every lesson so that the student feels engaged and has a sense of accomplishment every step of the way.

Real life scenarios and games are used whenever possible to help make learning interesting. I aim to have students enthusiastic about learning!
