About Jonathan
Sometimes it takes a few minutes to settle into the acoustics of a room. Lessons usually begin with targeted physical preparation before we apply classical principles to chosen repertoire. Having spent 7 years refining my craft, I focus on the nuances of sound production. It is focused work.
I provide consistent feedback to ensure your technique stays healthy while exploring different musical styles. You will leave with a clear plan for your individual practice.

Performing for 8 years within a leading British chamber ensemble shaped my current method of instruction. My daily practice now centres on classical technique and choral repertoire for a diverse range of students.
I hold an MMus Voice from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Developing a supportive environment for teens and kids remains a priority during my sessions.
Working with many pupils has refined my focus on genre styling and microphone technique. Providing clear guidance on head and chest voice mechanics is a constant aim.
I assist singers in mastering pitch control alongside complex diction and articulation. My background includes preparing vocalists for various exam boards. I offer free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes to everyone. My teaching style remains warm and patient as we work through technical challenges.
