About Calista

-I am a professional soprano with a Bachelor's (Hons) Degree in Classical Music from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, UK.

-Iconic roles that I have performed include Barbarina in "Marriage of Figaro" and Zerlina in "Don Giovanni". I was also involved in several other productions such as "The Fairy Queen" by Purcell, "Radamisto" by Handel, and Haydn's opera "La Fedeltà Premiata".

-In terms of competitions, I have participated in the Stratford and East London Music Festivals, in which I have won first place in both the Lieder and the Recital category. I have also taken part in The North London Music Festival, in which I achieved first place in the Lieder category.

Apart from Classical Music, I also have experience and training in Pop music and Musical Theatre. Therefore, I am happy to work with different genres based on my students' preferences.

- I have 1 and a half years of teaching experience and I believe in working with my students to achieve the best results based on their individual potential, and at their own pace. I also strongly believe in the importance of vocal health and healthy singing.

- Beginner/ Intermediate levels

•Class structure
- I believe in getting to know the student first and understanding what they are trying to achieve in their music journey, therefore starting with a free consultation first lesson will be ideal.

From there, I can assess what the student needs based on their current level and skills and what they would need best to progress.

Basic techniques we may work on include Breathwork, Posture, Vocal Warmups.

We can also work on songs that students want to learn or songs provided based on what is best for the student’s development.
