About Ella
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts, a Master of Music in Voice Pedagogy, and a PhD in Vocal Performance Studies. Over the last 13 years, I have worked with singers from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop confidence, technique, and artistic expression. My fascination with the voice began through performance experiences and continued through advanced musical study. Teaching allows me to combine that passion with meaningful mentorship. Helping students discover their potential remains one of the most rewarding parts of my profession.
My teaching philosophy centers on individuality, patience, and consistent development. I believe every voice has unique strengths that deserve careful attention and support. Lessons are adapted to each learner’s goals and challenges while maintaining clear direction for progress. Students receive practical guidance that helps them understand their voices and use them effectively. This creates an environment where learning feels encouraging and productive.
Outside teaching, I enjoy studying vocal traditions, attending live performances, and exploring music from different cultures. These interests enrich my lessons and inspire new approaches to teaching. Watching students gain confidence and achieve meaningful goals is deeply satisfying. I strive to create a positive and supportive learning experience. My goal is to help learners develop voices that reflect both technical excellence and authentic expression.

My singing lessons focus on helping students develop a healthy and expressive voice while building confidence in their unique musical identity. Learners strengthen breath control, resonance, pitch accuracy, articulation, phrasing, and vocal flexibility through carefully structured exercises and practical application. I encourage students to explore how technical skills support artistic communication rather than viewing them as separate goals. Lessons create a supportive environment where growth feels natural and enjoyable. This balance helps students develop both skill and confidence.
Each student receives a personalized lesson experience based on their goals and interests. Activities may include vocal awareness exercises, interpretation work, performance preparation, breath management techniques, and confidence-building singing practice. Students who seek greater emotional connection to music are encouraged to explore storytelling and intention within songs. Constructive feedback supports continuous improvement while maintaining motivation. This individualized approach helps learners progress effectively and comfortably.
My goal is to help students discover confidence through singing while developing strong technical foundations. As skills improve, learners often become more expressive and comfortable performing for others. Lessons encourage creativity, resilience, and self-awareness. Every achievement contributes to stronger vocal ability and artistic growth. I want students to feel inspired by their progress and excited about future possibilities.
