About Emily
"Teaching voice requires a diagnostic approach that prioritises individual needs over generic advice. I provide a diagnostic vocal assessment for every new student to establish a baseline for our work.
This ensures that the stage fear management and warm up techniques we select are right for your specific goals. My RAM degree provides the technical scaffolding for all the repertoire we explore. We will address everything from your internal harmony singing to your external performance presence.
You will find that these sessions are grounded in anatomical reality rather than vague metaphors. Performance is simply an extension of your own natural voice."

"Starting as a student at RAM, I found that the intersection of language and music was where I truly belonged. I am still convinced that singing is a highly physical act that requires both discipline and profound technical awareness. My 13 years of experience include working with 192 students to develop their head and chest voice, harmony singing, and belting technique.
I emphasise sight singing and microphone technique to ensure you feel prepared for any stage environment. My RAM degree informs every warm up exercise I suggest to my pupils. I have spent many years refining how I explain the mechanics of breath and tone.
Performance confidence is a skill that we build together through consistent, structured practice. I enjoy seeing students transition from self-taught players into confident performers. Music remains my primary source of inspiration outside of our studio time."
