Hello!

My name is Deb, and it's great to meet you. I'm an English teacher, copywriter, and editor based in Denver, Colorado. I love meeting new people, traveling, teaching, and working with words.

My experiences include:
* classroom teaching for teens and adults (all levels)
* tutoring immigrants and refugees in conversational English
* editing college papers, graduate theses, and corporate reports for spelling, grammar, and syntax.

I am also a freelance copywriter and editor. I have a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York where I studied Political Science and Engish Literature. I also have a Certificate in Copyediting from the University of California, San Diego.

As a teacher and writing coach, I am cheerful, easy to work with, and encouraging. Let's work together soon!

About the lesson

Classes are taught online via Zoom (or similar), and I adapt my lesson plans based on your individual needs and skill level. I have engaging materials for beginning, intermediate, and advanced language learners. Lessons focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, conversation, writing, and spelling.

Typically, I create PowerPoint or Keynote presentations that we can work through together and discuss. Lessons are topical and are divided into 4-6 short segments with periodic reviews of key points.

I can also help with your overall writing proficiency, review written materials and help with homework!
