About Mela
My experience with English is based on the fact that I grew up in the USA, finished my Bachelor's Degree in French and English, and now am finishing my TEFL training, meaning that I'll be certified by the end of the year, if not sooner! I started officially teaching English three years ago. I spent a year interning at the Lycée Saint Félix la Salle (a vocational high school) where I worked as an Assistant English Teacher where I developed lesson plans, checked students' comprehension levels and supervised exams. One of my goals was to improve students' understanding of the English language and American culture. In order for students to get used to speaking English, relax them, and expand their vocabulary, I conducted various debates, discussions and class activities. Also, for the last 3 years I have additionally conducted individual and group lessons. I have taught adults, students and children.

My teaching method varies with the needs of each individual student. No person is the same and everyone learns differently, so I always try to create an integrated plan tailored to each student. Some people even prefer a simple discussion or conversation in English, others may need to work on different concepts to be successful in school, and I'm always ready to help in any way possible! However, when it comes to grammar, I conduct lessons using the TEFL method.
