About Riva
I teach because:
1- I think this is the thing I do the best. I don't see myself as good at any other profession.
2 when I am in the classroom, I forget about the outer world and what bothers me. I find myself in a magical world that I can co-create the way I want with my students.
3- it's a profession that most people look up to. Whenever I tell a starnger I am a teacher, I instantly feel respect and good connotations of my work seem to occur to the listener.
4it's a fulfilling profession. You get rewarded and you feel good when you see the fruit of your work immediately or on the long run. It gives real happiness.
5I think I have something precious to teach,; not only the subject matter but a lot more of personality, conduct and ethics. I lead by example.
6- most of my students like me and thank me for what I do and who I am. I find it quite pleasant to be thanked and showed appreciation.
7- I love human interaction and working with people. Dealing with all kinds of humans feelings and a wide range of personalities is rather intriguing, challenging and exciting.
8-the people I loved at a young age all happened to be school teachers. I wanted to be like them. I still love them and wish I could be able to tell them one by one how much they have impacted my life and contributed to my being me.
