About Rowena

Patience guides my work because my own instructor was kind when I was an impatient learner. I focus on bridging the gaps for self-taught players who want to organize their knowledge properly. My approach keeps vocabulary simple until a concept lands, then we label it correctly.

I help you build confidence that handles hard problems. It is a pleasure to meet you in the Cape Breton fiddle and guitar spirit.

About the lesson

Simplified arrangements of your favorite song requests make complex pieces feel accessible right away. Sometimes the official sheet music is a headache, so we break down the lead guitar parts and barre chords instead.

Learning improvisation and soloing alongside ear training creates a musical ear that sticks. My degree from Selkirk College ensures you get solid acoustic technique and maintenance tips that actually function.

Grading exam prep is included if you want a clear path forward. We keep the maintenance side practical so your gear stays ready for action.

Tuning is a habit we build early to ensure clear sound. Reading sheet music is a tool we use only when it helps your progress. We might veer off the plan if a tangent helps your playing more.

Your progress is the only benchmark that matters here. Confidence is the final result.
