About Sarah

Sarah has a degree in music from Azusa Pacific University and co-owns a music production and recording studio where bands and artists have recorded traveling from areas such as LA and Nashville. She performed in musical theater professionally 20 years ago, and since has taught hundreds of students from beginners to professional singers. Sarah is the Artistic Director of one of the largest community choral organizations in San Diego, and has been a worship leader and church choir director for over two decades.

About the lesson

I specialize in audition coaching for musical theatre, pop singing, and working with artists looking to write and record their own songs. I have also been a church musician for 20 years and I have worked closely with worship leaders and worship team singers. Some of the songs sung in churches around the world have been produced in our studio. I have also directed one of San Diego's largest community choral organizations for over 20 years. I tailor each lesson to the individual coaching to their ability and style. Vocal exercises are chosen to target weak areas of the register or techniques that need reinforcement. Many of my students are currently the leads in Junior Theatre and CYT productions and I help them find audition songs and shine so they can land the lead role. Other students perform regularly at gigs or open mics and we work on repertoire and playing and singing at the same time.

Details

I charge $70 per hour and $40 per half hour. During the school year I charge monthly for after-school spots. I can do online lessons more flexibly in the mornings and early afternoons or you can come to my studio.
