About Jordyn
My name is Jordyn and I look forward to working with you! I am a patient and supportive individual who understands the value of tutoring support. I have had my own experience with tutors as a student and want to ensure that I am providing the best support to future students. I have worked with many children, youth and young adults throughout the years with different learning strengths and needs. I provide tutoring and homework help for children in primary education (up to age 12). I am able to teach in both English and French, and provide support in most subjects. Depending on the student's age, developmental level and level of focus- the length of session will range. A typical length of a lesson is 1 hour but I will work with you for as little or as long as needed.
I also work with university/college students to support with essay writing and thesis development. Sessions include support around organization and time management skills to alleviate stress and ensure student's feel prepared and confident in their work. I work with English and French learners, including english and french as a second language.
As your tutor, I will prioritize getting to know you and your unique strengths and needs. I provide 1-1 support to students to enhance their learning by optimizing a wide range of instructional approaches and creative activities. I am able to support students with various learning differences and adapt programming and teaching styles to best fit your needs. I am happy to coordinate with caregivers/parents to organize plans and carry out the best tutoring experience for the child's needs and goals!
