If you don't understand chemistry, you haven't met me yet! I am Maxime, I taught chemistry for over 10 years! I have a Ph.D in chemistry and teach from A-level to University :)

Maxime was my chemistry tutor for a year and with his excellent teaching and exam-technique help I went from getting D/Es in my mocks to an A in my final exams! He tailored every lesson to what I needed to improve the most, and helped me build a strong foundation in my understanding of organic chemistry. His teaching included detailed hand-written explanations and homeworks, which show the level of effort that Maxime commits to every student. He also taught with kindness and patience, I always felt that my questions were listened to respectfully and answered in detail. I could not recommend a teacher more highly. 10/10!!

Maxime is a first-class tutor. He covers every question you have and more, illustrating exam techniques along the way. He is enthusiastic with a warm and friendly personality. There is nothing he doesn't know about Organic Chemistry; being an expert in that field, he is also very knowledgeable in Physical Chemistry as well. It was because of Maxime that I achieved my degree. I would highly recommend him.

Failing to First

Maxime has been amazing, helping me through third year organic chemistry at university. With his help I managed to go from failing second year organic, to getting over 80% in year three with a first overall! I cannot thank him enough and highly recommend him to anyone who needs help with chemistry.

From Mum:
Our daughter phoned to say she was planning to drop out of university as she was so overwhelmed and failing, particularly in organic chemistry. She had spent much of her degree in isolation, struggling to learn online during lockdown and with no access to labs. I suggested finding a tutor to at least have a chat with before making a final decision.

We found Maxime and he was a breath of fresh air; positive, calm and clearly very committed. I asked if he could try and find out if things were really as hopeless as they seemed. He got back after the session saying he could definitely help, so we set up some lessons.

Maxime’s subject knowledge was awe-inspiring. His lessons were always thoroughly prepared and he would find unique and interesting ways to tackle complex ideas helping to build confidence, whilst being challenging and reinforcing the university learning in a supportive and holistic manner.

We were over the moon! Things had looked so bleak just a few months back. But....more importantly, were very grateful to Maxime for helping our daughter reignite her love of chemistry and belief in herself again. Thank you so much Maxime.

Since this date our daughter has gone on to successfully complete a Research Masters from Nottingham University, School of Pharmacology. This would never have been possible without the knowledge, input and dedication Maxime imparted.

Maxime helped me through my A level chemistry exams, working through my toughest topics and building on my pre-existing knowledge to make me the best a-level chemist I could be. Maxime helped me improve my grade from Ds and Cs to a high B and I am so grateful for that incredible help as it allowed me to be in the position I am in now undertaking a masters of research at a well established university, The Royal Veterinary College, London. Not only is Maxime an outstanding tutor, he is such a lovely person, we built an amazing friendship and we still keep in touch 4 years on.

Maxime tutored me for my third year organic chemistry exams at uni, and he was an absolute godsend! Maxime tutored my son through his A-level chemistry final year. He loved Maxime’s apparently cool and laid-back (but actually right on the ball) approach to learning.
