About Jimmie

Hi, my name is Jimmie. I'm passionate about helping people learn Mandarin in a way that's clear, practical, and fun. I started learning English long ago in grade school, so I understand what's it like to learn a second language, and I can help you better. My goal is to help you feel more confident every time you speak Mandarin. To me, the best part is seeing students who once said “I can't do it” suddenly realize they actually can. It's really wonderful to see their confidence grow. My teaching style tends to be patient, approachable and goal-oriented. I will do everything I can to help you achieve your goals!

About the lesson

To start, I ask you about your learning goals. After understanding your objectives, depending on your current Mandarin level and the available time, I design a personalized course tailored to your need. My aim is to ensure that each lesson is not only useful but also relaxed and fun. Here are some details about my classes: · Conversational Mandarin: Oral Comprehension & Expression / Fluency · General Mandarin: Beginner / Intermediate · HSK: 1-4 · Accent Reduction This course is taught with English as a supplementary language.
