About April
I am currently working in an education department as a Nurse Residency Educator for new graduate nurses coming into the hospital system. I teach the new graduates about their EMR. I teach an EKG class, as well as a defensive documentation class to protect their RN license. I also review key areas like pharmacy with medication administration and how to hang a Heparin drip, how to manage a Heparin drip. I teach a code blue class and how to document on a code blue and so much more.

Hi, let me tell you a little about me. I have been in Nursing since 2006 and I have experienced many different aspects of nursing from Med/Tele to Trauma ICU. I also have experience in Cardiac units and in Stroke units. For the last five years, I have been in House Supervisor and Education positions. I have done clinical rotations at several different hospitals for several different colleges. I’ve also done home care for pediatric patients on vents. All of this experience has led me to want to train new nurses to be successful in their future professions.
