About Hazel
Hello and welcome! I am a vocal instructor with 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a focus on Voice. My lessons combine technique, creativity, and musicality to help students develop their voice and overall musicianship.
I teach a wide range of styles including Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country, ensuring students can perform confidently across genres. Ear training, harmony, and music theory are integrated into each lesson to deepen understanding and support musical growth.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, whether they are beginners exploring their voice or advanced singers preparing for performances and auditions. I focus on building vocal strength, control, and expressive ability while making learning enjoyable.
Interactive exercises, personalized repertoire, and performance practice help students develop confidence and refine their sound. I emphasize both technical skill and artistic expression, fostering creativity and versatility.
My goal is to help learners at any stage enhance their vocal ability, musicianship, and love for singing. Join me and explore your voice while achieving your musical aspirations!

My singing approach is designed to help students prepare for auditions and build a strong vocal portfolio. I focus on careful song selection, matching each piece to vocal tone and range. Controlled dynamics are emphasized to give performances expression and clarity.
For The Music Major, lessons include vocal agility exercises, mock auditions, and exploration of multiple genres to enhance versatility. They benefit from structured techniques that strengthen performance stamina and refine tone quality.
For The Suzuki Student, I emphasize precise pitch, phrasing, and stylistic accuracy. Exercises focus on building confidence, breath control, and interpretive skills while maintaining musicality.
Both personas use practical tools like backing track apps, lyric trainers, and pitch analyzers to reinforce learning outside the lesson. We practice mock auditions to simulate real-world performance scenarios. Song choices are tailored to highlight strengths while challenging growth areas.
Lessons combine technique, creativity, and performance practice to prepare students for auditions and professional opportunities. Each session is interactive, motivating, and results-driven.
