About Dessy
Hi! I'm a Computer Science student with a passion for math studying at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am a top 1% scorer in standardized testing (1550 SAT) with a distribution of 800 on the Math section and 750 on the Reading. I have also received 5's on all AP Math exams.
I have been tutoring math to students from ages 11 to 18 for the last 4 years. I have taught in classrooms and in private, and helped students understand subjects ranging from arithmetic to Differential Calculus. I am extremely well informed in high school mathematics and have extensive experience teaching it in a fun and easy to understand way.
In the past year, I focused on developing my own SAT curriculum by meeting one-on-one with 60+ different students and seeing what works. I have tried everything from textbooks to group classes, and found what works and what doesn't. Through that, I have corroborated the best testing tips and study skills to help anyone ace the SAT.
