About Molly

I am a 3rd year Maths student and I absolutely love maths. I have varied Maths tutoring experiences, having tutored my younger sister virtually over lockdown in 2020. I have also tutored a younger friend in person in 2018, in preparation for her GCSE's. Both students have made a large amount of progress, with my friend achieving a high pass, and my sister is being continually assessed and is achieving high grades.

I have also volunteered at an SEN Homework Club for 2 years in Sixth Form, helping young children with varied learning difficulties with their homework. This taught me a lot about communication and patience, and I feel has made me a very reliable tutor with children.

I am incredibly enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and have a life goal of becoming a Maths teacher in a secondary school, and more experience with tutoring will take me closer to that goal. I am also polite and well spoken, and excited to take on a new challenge!

About the lesson

In an online lesson, I use my iPad and Apple Pencil to show students what I am doing, making it very clear. I may give them a question and allow them to give it a go and tell me how they achieved the answer, before showing a step-by-step on how to do it.

Creating a plan, hitting the goals and seeing what people are able to achieve with my help, is all part of a process which is so enjoyable to me. It’s what I want to do more of, so I am excited to get started with teaching! I am happy to teach all ages from primary school to secondary school (GCSE’s) up to college level (A Level).

£9 an hour for a very interactive virtual lesson, using an iPad and Apple Pencil for clear writing and neat, visible handwriting.
