About Marco

I'm a student studying chartered accountancy. Ever since high school I've been helping my peers as well as students in lower grades for free with subjects like accounting, math, physical sciences and English. I've always been on the top 10 in our school as well as receiving numerous rewards for accounting, economics and physical sciences spesifically. I've always loved working with people and it fills me with so much joy knowing that I made a difference or try my best at least. I had distinctions for math, accounting, physical sciences and English at the end of my matric year and I've learned some useful tips and tricks that might help some people. During holidays I'd help juniors and primary school kids with math and I mostly helped the seniors with physics.

About the lesson

My teaching method is comprehension and repetition. Repetition is the mother of learning. Once you have comprehension of a concept you can strengthen your understanding by repeating that concept. Repeating certain ideas may get boring sometimes, that's why I don't focus on a certain area for too long. We do the basics of a certain subject to grasp the idea, do some activities to test said idea. Then we do something else and come back to it later to see what you've remembered and to identify problem areas. If that method just doesn't necessarily work for you, that's 100% fine. We can do what works best for you / for the group. My teaching mainly consists of doing and explaining past papers for each subject in great depth, to understand how questions are formulated and how to answer them. A lot of times we as students feel the teacher doesn't necessarily understand what or why we struggle with something and struggle to address it properly, so as a fellow student I hope to address those issues a lot better and more direct.
