About Wilson

Hello! My name is Wilson, and I am a Secondary Teaching student at the Australian Catholic University (ACU). As someone who uses English every day as both a learner and a teacher, I understand the challenges of learning a second language — especially when you are living, studying, or working in a new country. This personal experience helps me connect with my students and teach English in a way that is simple, practical, and encouraging. About the lesson

My ESL lessons are designed to help learners build real confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and everyday communication. I focus on creating a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable practising English, making mistakes, and improving naturally. Whether you are a new migrant, an international student, or a child learning English as a second language, I personalise each lesson to match your goals and level.

Teaching Techniques and Methodology:

- Simple, clear explanations using everyday English

- Conversation-focused practice to improve fluency

- Pronunciation guidance with repetition and modelling

- Vocabulary building through real-life situations

- Listening activities, short texts, and guided reading

- Grammar taught in a practical and easy-to-understand way

Typical Lesson Length:
Standard lessons are 60 minutes, with longer sessions (75–90 minutes) available for students who want more speaking practice or structured learning.

Qualifications and Experience:
I am a Secondary Teaching student at ACU with experience supporting ESL learners of different ages and language backgrounds. My teaching approach combines formal training in education with patient, friendly guidance. I understand the challenges of learning a second language and always work to make lessons warm, accessible, and meaningful. Many of my students have seen strong improvements in fluency, pronunciation, and confidence through consistent practice.
