About Me

I'm Adelle, an educator, behavioral health professional, and lifelong learner with roots in Trinidad and lived experience across four continents. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and am a certified Registered Behavior Technician—credentials that shape how I approach teaching. I'm also a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, a mother, and someone deeply committed to holistic wellness and intentional living.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in what I've learned through my work: every person has the capacity to grow, learn, and thrive—but only when they feel safe, seen, and respected. I believe education isn't just about transferring information; it's about building confidence, fostering curiosity, and honoring each learner's unique journey.

My international upbringing taught me that language is a bridge between worlds. I've navigated different educational systems, cultural contexts, and ways of communicating, which gives me genuine empathy for the challenges of learning English as an additional language. I understand that accent, grammar, and vocabulary aren't just technical skills—they're tied to identity, belonging, and how we show up in the world.
