About Stephany

Middle school students often feel intimidated by complex algebra concepts. Honestly, I find that math anxiety is usually just a lack of early practice. For 12 years, I have worked with homeschoolers and students who struggle with math to build steady confidence.

My background includes a BS Mathematics degree and a teaching credential from Vanderbilt University. I specialize in slope and linear functions, absolute value, factoring, and functions and graphs.

Completing the square, linear equations, polynomials, inequalities, and exponents and radicals are also core areas where I focus my energy. Helping 100s of students find their footing makes my work rewarding. Seeing someone move from frustration to fluency is the main goal here. I keep things methodical because clarity is the best way to reduce stress during tough topics.

About the lesson

Have you ever wondered why algebra seems to stop making sense halfway through a lecture? Getting started involves assessing where you stand with those tricky polynomials or linear functions.

Using my Vanderbilt University teaching credential, I guide you through problems until the method becomes automatic for you. Since I cater to honors students and those needing extra help, the pace is set by your own progress.

We work through plenty of examples to ensure you understand the underlying logic behind each equation. My approach builds measurable results so you can see your own growth in real time. It is truly satisfying to watch a student stop saying they are not a math person. I enjoy being the one who helps bridge that gap.
