About Pippa
I am a professional artist with over 30 years experience taking commissions and selling artwork through galleries and exhibitions. I also have 14 years teaching experience in adult education and workshops in schools. I provide private classes for individual learners and classes for up to 20 as well as demonstrations and workshops for art groups. I hold an NVQ grade 4 in The Delivery of Learning. My degree is in Graphic design and Illustration and my artwork has been used in the packaging industry and for greeting cards.

My teaching style is energetic, engaging and encouraging. I am experienced in teaching all levels, from beginner, intermediate and masterclass in a wide range of mediums and subjects. My classes typically compose of 3 or 4 short (5-10 minute) demonstrations of the various stages using techniques and tips and tricks that give learners a good grounding in sound art practice and theory and also entertain and inspire, followed by the learner working to complete to a similar stage. While the learner or learners are working I am constantly available for advice and help with problem solving as well as offering feedback. The lesson or series of lessons are tailored to the individual requirements of the class and each class is usually to give the learner experience of a useful or essential technique or method of application. The objective of each lesson is for the learner to have completed a successful piece of art, usually finished but in the case of classes that continue over two or more sessions, to a part finished stage, to have gained good understanding of and show confident application of the technique or method as well as having enjoyed the experience.
