About Lianel

I'm a certified English teacher specialising in kids aged 6 to 13. I love turning English from a difficult subject into a fun one - I use games, stories, and real conversation instead of just worksheets. I'm very patient, I prepare lessons that fit each child's level, and I focus on confidence first, then marks. I'm based in Johannesburg and I'm available for both classroom and online teaching. I'm looking for a position where I can grow long-term with a supportive school

About the lesson

I conduct my lessons in a simple, fun, and structured way.
First, I start with a warm greeting and a small review of the last lesson, so the student remembers what we learnt.
Second, I introduce the new topic - for example, grammar, vocabulary, or conversation. I explain it with easy examples and pictures.
Third, we practise together. The student speaks a lot, I listen, I correct gently, and I help with pronunciation. I use different activities - questions and answers, role-play, reading, and games - so the class is not boring. Finally, I end the class with a short summary and small homework. I also ask the student if they have any questions.
My lessons are student-focused. I speak slowly, I am patient, and I make sure the student feels confident to speak.
