About Jose

I’m Jose Zambrano Cassella, an award-winning director, cinematographer, and editor with over 20 years of professional experience. I’ve directed feature films, shot more than 2,000 international commercials, and worked with global brands like Apple and Nike. Beyond the big sets, I’m passionate about mentoring and helping others grow as storytellers. I know what it’s like to start with limited resources and build a career step by step. My approach is practical, creative, and supportive, giving students the tools and confidence to tell their own stories with clarity and cinematic impact.

About the lesson

My lessons are about real-world filmmaking, taught by someone who has lived it on sets worldwide. Each session starts with your goals, whether it’s mastering camera technique, sharpening storytelling, or learning how to direct with confidence.

You’ll discover how framing, light, and movement shape emotion, and how to apply those tools to any project, from shorts to commercials to social content. We’ll break down scenes I’ve directed and shot, then turn those techniques into exercises for your own work.

What sets me apart is that I guide you through the full pipeline: idea, shoot, and edit. You’ll leave with more than technical skills — you’ll gain a filmmaker’s mindset, able to think, see, and create like a storyteller.
