About Lisa
In 2022, I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a double major in Computer Science and Molecular & Cell Biology with Honors. In high school, I passed 7 AP tests with scores of mostly 4's and 5's. I was the first in my family to attend university, so I learned how to learn and figure out learning styles. I incorporate my techniques to help students achieve the success they want and deserve.

I have been tutoring students both privately and in classroom settings since high school in subjects like mathematics, chemistry, Spanish, and Chinese; throughout the years I broadened the topics I could teach in those subjects and added new ones like computer programming, biology, and research. My favorite part of teaching is seeing my students light up as they experience their "aha" moment. With great understanding of the underlying concepts, improved test scores and good grades follow. I believe that having a study method that works plays a big part in learning, so I love working with students to figure out a way that works for them. The students notice the difference in their learning, which in turn improves their confidence and self-esteem.
