About Enrique

Hi, I’m Enrique! I am a professional pianist, music educator, and ensemble director based in Fort Wayne, IN. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Professional Studies in Piano Performance through Berklee Online.

Over the past several years, I have worked as a private instructor, church music director, and rhythm section leader. I have extensive experience working with students of all skill levels—from absolute beginners taking their first steps, to intermediate players looking to master chord voicings, ear training, and live performance dynamics.

In addition to my musical background, I have a professional background in software development. This gives me a unique, highly organized, and structured approach to teaching: I break down complex musical concepts into clear, step-by-step systems that are easy to digest and apply immediately.

Whether you're preparing for live performance, building a lifelong hobby, or refining your technique, I look forward to helping you reach your full potential on the keyboard!

Whether you want to learn piano from scratch, improvise with confidence, read music, or play by ear, my lessons are tailored around your unique goals.

Music shouldn’t feel like rigid, boring repetitive drills. I focus on combining essential technique with practical music theory so you can start playing real songs right away.

What We Can Cover:

Foundational Technique: Proper hand posture, finger independence, and injury-free playing.

Music Theory Made Simple: Understanding chord progressions, scales, harmony, and lead sheets.

Playing by Ear & Improvisation: Learn how to reharmonize, play in modern styles (Gospel, Contemporary, Jazz, Pop, R&B), and find your own sound.

Sight-Reading & Rhythm: Master reading sheet music and rhythm section timing.
