About Tess
I am an English Teacher and give private lessons to learners who want to improve their English and boost their fluency.
I study languages myself and can speak Portuguese, Spanish and German. I understand what priorities are when learning languages, as I've been there myself.
My professional background is as a communicator in the Not For Profit sector and as a tour guide. I love story telling and understanding people from different contexts to mine.
I have a degree in Professional Communication (Journalism) from RMIT University.

My teaching style is dynamic and flexible to student needs.
I create a casual and fun dynamic to make students feel comfortable to learn and make mistakes. I enjoy using books, music and real life examples in my classes so that students can feel confident using the English they actually want and need to use in real life.
I have experiencing working with students preparing for various academic exams, including IELTS, TEOFL and university applications.
I make sure I have an understanding of my students native languages, so I am aware of common difficulties found by English learners of that background.
