About Ana

I am a person of varied interests, who loves to share experiences and be in contact with people. I have been teaching Brazilian language and culture for at least two years in Brighton and I am also an English teacher, certified by the University of Cambridge. Before moving, still in Brazil, I was a tutor in a dance school and I am currently involved in a project of forró classes, also in the city of Brighton. I have always been connected to teaching in some way and I am known for being very patient. I also work as a freelance photographer.

About the lesson

Hi there! My name is Ana, I'm a CELTA qualified teacher based in Brighton-UK and I'm passionate about teaching. I believe the learning experience must be enjoyable and fun, so I usually use videos, music, pop culture among other things to make sure my students learn having a good time. I also try to tailor the lessons according to students' interests and aims, having in mind each person learns in a way and face specific challenges at learning something new. I really love teaching and that makes me a patient teacher who's happy to explain in different ways, many times, until the student is confident.

Lívia is a very friendly person, who is really easy to engage and speak with and any teacher would be lucky to teach her. Speaking to her about her plans and interests rekindled my own desire to study and learn new things.

Brian is an excellent student who is always punctual and polite. Although he's got already a good level of English, he is always very interested in the lesson and keen to learn. We've been focusing mostly in vocabulary and pronunciation and already can see improvement.
