About Angelo
Hi! My name is Angelo Leotta. I grew up in New Jersey, USA, and love to travel the world, swing dance, and of course teach English! I got my CELTA certification in 2009, have taught ELS to people from all over the world, and taught English in Japan for one year.
I also learned Japanese in college, so I know first-hand how challenging it is to try to learn a new language. Because of my experience teaching ESL and learning a language myself, I am very confident I will be able to explain the subtleties of American English clearly. You will find I am a very friendly, very patient teacher.
I love languages, thinking about how they work, semantics and grammar. And I really love traveling around the world and learning from all its different cultures.

If you want to take your English to the next level, I am your teacher. I have taught English as a second language in the USA and Japan to adults and children, I am very patient and friendly with students, and will customize the lesson to your specific needs.
First, we will meet to break the ice and get to know each other a little bit. You can learn about me and my teaching style, and I can get to know you and what it is you want to improve, and where your English skill level is.
Then, I will create lessons specifically for you. Depending on your skill level and desires. Whether you want to improve your pronunciation, sound more like a native speaker, widen your vocabulary, or just generally improve your English speaking, listening, reading or writing skills, I promise to make lessons that are engaging, relevant, and fun.
I will assign homework based on what skills you want to improve and ask that you keep an English diary, to track progress and write down any questions you have. When we meet for the next lesson, you can ask anything you need more clarity on, and we will go over the homework before starting the next lesson.
