Hi, I’m Pooja Kutmuta, a Certified Phonics Trainer with 8 years of teaching experience. I am passionate about helping young learners build a strong foundation in phonics, reading, pronunciation, and language skills through fun and engaging learning experiences.

My sessions are interactive, child-friendly, and activity-based, using stories, games, songs, flashcards, and multisensory techniques to make learning enjoyable and effective. I believe every child learns differently, and I create a warm, encouraging environment where children feel confident to participate, explore, and learn at their own pace.

With my experience and structured approach, I aim to make the journey from learning sounds to reading words and sentences simple, joyful, and rewarding.

About the lesson

I am Pooja Kutmuta, a Certified Phonics Trainer with 8 years of teaching experience. My teaching approach is child-centered, interactive, and activity-based, with a strong focus on building phonics skills, reading confidence, and a love for language.

My Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I use a combination of systematic phonics instruction, multisensory learning, storytelling, flashcards, picture cues, songs, rhymes, games, blending activities, and worksheets. I believe children learn best when they are actively involved, so I encourage them to listen, observe, speak, read, and practice during every session. I also adapt my teaching strategies according to each child's learning pace and needs.

Usual Structure of My Classes:
My classes generally begin with a quick revision or warm-up activity, followed by the introduction of a new sound, letter, or phonics concept. I then demonstrate the sound and its formation, introduce related words, and engage children in blending, segmenting, reading, and interactive practice. The session concludes with a recap, reinforcement activity, and a short assessment to check understanding.

My Special Features as a Teacher:
My key strength is making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. With my experience in phonics, I focus on developing not just decoding skills but also pronunciation, vocabulary, reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence. I create a warm and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes and learning at their own pace.

Who My Classes Are Intended For:
My phonics classes are primarily designed for young learners and preschool/primary school children, especially children who are beginning their reading journey. I also work with parents and educators by helping them understand effective phonics techniques and ways to support early literacy development at home and in the classroom.
