"Teaching is rarely about transferring facts and is mostly about dismantling the fear of complex reaction mechanisms. Most people think chemistry is just memorisation, yet it is actually a language of logical patterns that govern the physical world.
As a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, I work primarily with university-bound students who need to move beyond basic concepts. Having taught 407 students, I have learnt that genuine understanding prevents panic during high-stakes exams. I keep my approach friendly and structured so that even the most difficult thermochemistry or acids and bases topics become manageable.
