About Ivy
My interest in Chemistry began with fascination for how invisible molecular changes lead to visible transformations. This curiosity led me to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry followed by a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, where I studied reaction mechanisms and molecular structure in depth. Over 10 years of teaching, I have helped students overcome confusion by breaking complex ideas into clear, understandable steps.
I believe Chemistry education should be supportive and confidence-building. Many learners feel overwhelmed by equations and reactions, so I focus on gradual explanation, repetition, and encouragement. I create a learning environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are viewed as essential learning moments, allowing students to grow steadily.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with Chemistry through scientific reading, concept exploration, and professional development. These activities enrich my lessons and keep them relevant. Teaching Chemistry is rewarding because I see students develop confidence and clarity, realizing they can understand and apply complex scientific ideas independently.

Chemistry becomes easier to understand when students clearly see how molecular interactions explain observable reactions and properties. My lessons focus on helping learners build strong conceptual foundations in atomic structure, bonding, reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, acids and bases, thermodynamics, and organic chemistry. I emphasize understanding patterns and relationships rather than memorizing isolated facts, allowing Chemistry to feel logical and interconnected. Lessons progress gradually, ensuring learners feel secure before advancing.
Lesson structure is adjusted according to academic level. Beginners focus on chemical language, symbols, equations, and introductory calculations. Intermediate learners deepen understanding of reaction pathways, equilibrium, energetics, and laboratory reasoning. Advanced learners refine multi-step numerical problem-solving, conceptual integration, exam preparation, and interpretation of experimental data. Guided practice and explanation refinement are central to every lesson.
Chemistry lessons also strengthen attention to detail, logical reasoning, and confidence in tackling complex problems. Students learn to approach challenges calmly and methodically. Many develop confidence that extends to other science subjects. My goal is to help learners feel capable, curious, and empowered when engaging with chemical concepts.
