About Briar
My journey with chemistry began with a deep fascination for how invisible reactions could produce such powerful, visible results. Over nine years, this fascination evolved into a dedicated pursuit of knowledge and a strong passion for teaching. Learning the language of atoms, compounds, and reactions gave me a new way of understanding the universe. Teaching allowed me to translate that understanding into something meaningful for others. My approach is built on patience, clarity, and enthusiasm. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and inspired, not pressured. I take time to explain difficult concepts in multiple ways until true understanding is achieved. I encourage curiosity, asking students to think beyond the page and imagine how chemistry is working in their daily lives. This approach builds both knowledge and appreciation for the subject. Outside of teaching, I continue to explore scientific publications, research developments, and experimental concepts. I enjoy conducting small experiments, studying new theories, and expanding my understanding of chemical applications. Chemistry, to me, is not just a subject—it is a key to understanding existence itself. Sharing that perspective with my students is both an honour and a lifelong mission.

Chemistry is the study of transformation—how matter reacts, changes, and connects on a fundamental level. My lessons are built to help students see chemistry not as a complex puzzle, but as a fascinating explanation of the world around them. From the air we breathe to the reactions within the body, chemistry is everywhere. I create a supportive and stimulating environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and truly understand the science behind everyday life. For beginners, lessons begin with atomic structure, elements, and basic reactions, laying a strong foundation of understanding. Intermediate students explore chemical bonding, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and thermodynamics. Advanced learners move into organic chemistry, equilibrium, electrochemistry, and laboratory-based problem-solving. I use visual explanations, real-life examples, and simplified models to make even abstract concepts understandable. I also assist with exam preparation, lab reports, and academic projects, ensuring that students feel supported in every area of learning. As students grow in their understanding of chemistry, they also grow in confidence, curiosity, and analytical thinking. They begin to see the world differently, with a deeper appreciation for science and its impact. Many of my students pursue careers in medicine, engineering, or scientific research, but beyond academic success, my greatest reward is seeing their minds open to discovery and critical thinking.
