A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in on progress and any challenges from the previous session, followed by focused practice on the day's objective, whether that's grammar, vocabulary, writing structure, or research and organizational skills. I incorporate authentic materials and practical exercises, then close with a clear takeaway and a plan for what to practice before our next meeting.
With an end goal of building natural conversation abilities, utilizing various methodologies that align with a student's learning style and needs allows for progression to occur more quickly and for each student to gain confidence with each lesson.
