About Ella
Hi! My name is Ella. I am a college student studying Childhood Education at Buffalo State. I love the idea of helping a child grow and learn, which is why I would love a job like this. I love to see that “lightbulb moment” a child has when finally understanding a topic they have been struggling with. I am patient, encouraging, and dedicated to helping students build both their academic skills and their confidence. I believe every child learns differently, and I enjoy finding creative ways to explain concepts so they make sense to each individual student. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing as learners. I would love the opportunity to help your child succeed and develop a love for learning.

I have lots of fun learning games to hold a child’s focus and help comprehend the lesson. A typical lesson plan might start with a couple questions to remind the student of what we are learning. Then, we will move onto anything troubling that they have had a difficult time with since the last lesson. Last but not least we will use the spare time to play a game on the current lesson. Whether it’s matching games, Simon says, or tic tac toe. I’ll end off by giving them a little something to take home to work on if needed throughout the week before the next session.
