About Lisa
Lisa Ballot - Mum, Wife, Communications Specialist, Self Published Author, lay-preacher.
I am passionate about English, both spoken and written.
My job requires that I write English and speak English in the best format and annunciation as possible.
Good English makes a good impression. Unfortunately that is just how the world is. My 31 years of working experience has taught me this.
Last year I completed a Teaching English Foreign Language Certificate. During this course I realised that we can all benefit from this course, to make English more understandable and more accessible to people.
I believe that my students can leverage off my skills as an inherent educator.
I firmly believe that skills should be shared. I also believe in the empowerment of the younger generation. I was fortunate enough as young person to have mentors . I need to pass on that legacy.
Furthermore, a number people who were in my team where I work, are now managers through my guidance.
My colleagues can attest to me guiding and providing them with skills that empower them to do more and grow more in our current work environment.

I subscribe to the Student Talk Time methodology of teaching(STT). I feel students learn best when they are guided and learn to correct themselves.
My approach is more of that of a coach.
I am exceptionally proficient in English.
Students need to be prepared to talk a lot, prepared to make mistakes and be encouraged to find the correct answer. My lessons begin with an introduction and and explanation of the intended outcome is of the lesson.
I believe all students at any level can be coached. I do however prefer to teach high school students and above.
