About Singh
I am Abhilasha Singh, a friendly and supportive tutor with a background in English Literature and Psychology. Teaching has always been close to my heart because I enjoy helping children discover their strengths, build confidence, and find joy in learning. Having taught and mentored young learners through volunteer work, I know how important patience and encouragement are in the classroom. I want to create a safe, engaging space where every student feels heard, understood, and motivated to grow.

I like to keep my lessons friendly, supportive and adapted to each child. Every student learns in their own way, so I make sure to listen and adjust. Sometimes that means using stories, real-life examples or fun activities to make English feel less like a subject and more like something they can connect with. Lessons usually run for about an hour, though I am flexible depending on age and concentration levels. The focus is always on building confidence, helping children feel comfortable to ask questions, try, and enjoy the process of learning. I studied English Literature and later completed a Master’s in Psychology, with training in areas like School and Positive Psychology. I have also taught children through my volunteer work at an NGO, where I supported young learners with English and life skills. My lessons are for Primary to High School students who want a little extra support, whether that is with reading, writing, grammar or simply feeling more confident with English.
